Terms
Plain English, because nobody reads the other kind.
What this is
StashMule reads screenshots of Diablo II: Resurrected items and turns them into a searchable inventory stored in your own browser, with a backup of it kept on your account. You buy credits; one credit reads one screenshot.
We are not affiliated with Blizzard Entertainment or with d2jsp. Diablo is a trademark of Blizzard Entertainment. This is an independent tool made by a player. Nothing here is endorsed by either of them, and using it does not exempt you from their rules — how you use your own game account and your own forum account remains between you and them.
Credits
- One credit reads one screenshot.
- Credits never expire.
- A credit is spent when a screenshot is read. If the read fails, the credit is returned automatically, and both entries appear in your history.
- A read that correctly reports "this is not an item" is a successful read and is charged. The extension rejects obvious non-items before anything is spent.
- Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred between accounts, and cannot be exchanged for money.
Refunds
Unused credits are not refundable. They are added to your account the moment a payment completes — that is the thing you are buying — and they never expire, so there is no window in which they go to waste.
If a payment goes through and the credits do not arrive, that is ours to fix and you do not have to argue for it. Tell us and you get the credits or the money back, whichever you would rather have.
A read is final once it returns a result. What the credit buys is the reading of one screenshot, and that costs us the same whether the answer comes back perfect or comes back with a number wrong in it. So an imperfect read is not refunded, and neither is a read of something that turns out not to be an item.
A read that fails is different and is refunded automatically, before you ask for anything: an error, a timeout, nothing came back at all. You will see the charge and the refund as two rows in your credit history.
When a read is wrong, the fix is to correct it, not to be refunded for it. Every field on an item is editable by hand, at any time, for nothing — its name, its base type, its stat lines, quality, quantity, asking price and note. A misread stat is a line of text to retype. Reading the same screenshot again is the other way and that one costs a further credit, because it is another read. That is also why a new account comes with ten free credits: they are there so you can find out how well this reads your screenshots before you pay for any.
Money is final; credits are where we can be generous. If something has genuinely gone wrong for you, we would far rather put credits on your account than move money back and forth, and often we will. That is a gesture and not a right: credits given that way are not a refund, they have no cash value, and they cannot be turned back into money. There is no form and no entitlement — it is a person reading what happened and deciding. Credits added that way appear in your credit history with a note on them, the same as everything else.
Nothing here removes a right your own country's consumer law gives you. Where there is a statutory cancellation period for digital purchases, checkout asks you to take the credits immediately and to accept that doing so ends it.
What is not promised
Accuracy is not guaranteed. A read is a model looking at a picture of a tooltip, and it gets things wrong. Most reads are right, some are not, and there is no version of this that is perfect. The product is that you do not type a stat; it is not that you never check one.
It is built around the tooltip Diablo II: Resurrected draws at its own settings. Anything that changes how that tooltip is drawn — a mod that restyles it, an overlay across it, a client in another language, heavy scaling away from the resolution you play at — can make a read come back wrong, and a read that comes back wrong still costs its credit, because it still cost us one. If a read fails outright it refunds itself as above, whatever caused it.
That is not a promise to support every setup, and it is not a reason to guess. Try it on the free credits first. If it reads your screenshots badly, you will know inside ten of them, and you will not have paid for the finding out.
Forum Gold
StashMule does not ask for Forum Gold and there is nowhere on this site to send any. If you send some anyway, it is a gift and it buys nothing: no credits, no features, no priority, and no different service than someone who sends none. It is not a purchase, there is no exchange rate, and it is not refundable. Credits come from the free allowance, the packs, inviting friends and the credits we add when something has gone wrong, and nowhere else.
Inviting friends
- Every verified account has an invite link on its account page. Someone who signs up with it gets 10% extra credits on their first purchase, and the account that invited them gets 10% of the credits in every pack they buy. Both are rounded down.
- The code has to be used when the account is created. It cannot be added or changed afterwards.
- These are credits like any others. They have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money.
- Inviting yourself does not count. When the same card pays on both sides of an invite, or on two accounts the same person invited, that invite stops earning anything from then on.
- If a purchase is refunded or disputed, the invite credits it earned are taken back, as far as the balance allows, and that invite stops earning.
- We may change or end invite rewards. Credits already earned stay where they are.
Your account
- One account per person. The free starter credits are once per email address, including after an account is deleted and made again. Making extra accounts to collect them repeatedly, or to collect invite credits, will get them all closed.
- Your scan key is a password. Anyone holding it can spend your credits. If it gets out, sign out from your account page: that ends every session at once, and signing back in gives you a new key.
- Do not attempt to circumvent credit charging, submit content you have no right to submit, or use the service to attack it or anyone else.
What we promise, and what we do not
We will try to keep this running and to read your items accurately. We do not guarantee either. It is a small service run by one person; it may be unavailable, and a screenshot may be read wrongly. Do not rely on it as the sole record of anything valuable, and export a backup from time to time.
Your inventory lives in your browser, and clearing your browser data or uninstalling the extension deletes that copy. While you are signed in we keep a backup of the item data on your account, and you can restore it from Settings — but treat it as a convenience rather than a guarantee, and keep an export of your own as well.
To the extent the law allows, our liability for any claim relating to this service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before it arose.
Ending it
You can stop at any time, and delete your account yourself at the bottom of your account page — it goes immediately, along with its ledger and its backups. We may close an account that breaks these terms, and where the breach was not deliberate we will refund unused credits.
If we ever shut the service down, we will give at least 30 days' notice by email and refund unused credits.
Changes
We will email account holders before any change that affects what you have already paid for.
