StashMule
Setup guide

From install to your first trade.

Nine steps, in order. Each one says exactly what to press, and has its button right there.

Steps 1 to 4 happen once. After that, 5 to 8 are the whole routine: screenshot an item, add it, and find it again when you trade on d2jsp.

  1. Create your account

Sign up with an email address and a password. If a friend sent you an invite link, open that link first and their code fills itself in.

    Create account

  2. Verify your email

We email you a link. Open it and your 10 free credits land on your account, which is ten items read.

Nothing after a few minutes? Check your spam folder, or sign in and press Send the link again on your account page.

  3. Install the extension

It works in Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera, Vivaldi and Firefox. The button below already knows which one you are using.

    Add to Chrome Version 4.12

Then pin it, so it is always one click away: open your browser's extensions menu (the puzzle-piece icon beside the address bar) and pin StashMule to the toolbar.

  4. Connect the extension

Usually there is nothing to do. While you are signed in on this site, the extension connects itself to your account a moment after it installs.

To check, click the StashMule icon in your toolbar and press Open your stash. Your credit balance at the top right means it is connected.

See a Connect your account button there instead? Press it, then press Connect on the page that opens.

  5. Take a screenshot in game

In Diablo II: Resurrected, hover the item so its tooltip shows, then press PrtScn. The picture saves to Documents\Diablo II\Screenshots. No cropping: StashMule finds the tooltip in the picture by itself.

    • One tooltip per picture. Let go of Shift first, or the game draws the item you are wearing beside it.
    • Play at your normal resolution, not zoomed or scaled.
    • A photo of your monitor taken with a phone will not read.
Good: one tooltip, and all of it is in the picture.
No: two tooltips, because Shift was held.

Tooltips see-through or washed out? That is a known bug with Windows HDR turned on, and it makes the item hard for StashMule to read as well. Press Win + Alt + B to switch HDR off before you play, or keep HDR and turn on Large Font Mode under Gameplay in the game's options. More on the fix.

Just one item, right now? Press Win + Shift + S, drag a box with a little room around the tooltip, and paste it in the next step. On Windows 11, if PrtScn opens the Snipping Tool instead, you can turn that off in Windows Settings under Keyboard.

  6. Add it to your stash

Click the StashMule icon in your toolbar and press Open your stash. Drag your screenshots anywhere onto that page, or paste one with Ctrl + V.

Up to 25 at a time. Each picture read uses one credit, and a read that fails gives its credit back.

  7. Check it and price it

Each screenshot comes back as a card: the name in its quality's color, the base type, and every stat line. Open a card to add an asking price and a note, such as which mule it is on.

Something read wrong? Click the line on the card and retype it. The name, the base type and every stat line are edited right there, and it costs nothing.

  8. Open your stash on d2jsp

Go to any page on forums.d2jsp.org. A round StashMule button sits in the bottom-right corner, and it only appears on d2jsp. Click it and your stash opens beside the forum.

    • Search anything you remember: a name, 2 sock eth, 45 fcr.
    • Press Copy on an item and paste it straight into your post.
    • Press Sold once it is gone, and it moves to your sales history.
The button, in the corner of every d2jsp page.
Click it, and your stash opens beside the thread.
  9. Top up when you run out

Everything above keeps working without credits except reading new screenshots. When you run out, pick a pack. Credits never expire, so there is no reason to buy before you need them.

You can also invite friends from your account page, and earn credits when they buy.
